AfterLong-lasting porcelain veneers — 11-year follow-up showing continued good condition.
by Dr Yasha Shirazi
Thin shells bonded to the front of your teeth to reshape, whiten and restore. We offer both porcelain and composite veneers — the right choice depends on your case, your budget and how reversible you want the result to be.
Our approach to dental veneers starts with careful planning. We assess tooth structure, bite, smile line, facial proportions and long-term oral health before recommending either composite or porcelain.
Where clinically suitable, we keep treatment as conservative as possible. That may mean whitening before veneers, composite instead of porcelain, or fewer veneers than you expected. The aim is a result that looks natural and remains maintainable.
The number of veneers, material choice and final shape are tailored to your smile goals rather than pushed into a one-size-fits-all package.
We preserve natural tooth structure wherever the case allows and explain clearly when porcelain, composite, bonding or whitening would be the more sensible first step.
Shade, surface texture and proportions are planned to suit the face and neighbouring teeth, so the result looks polished without looking obvious.

Evening and Saturday slots in South Kensington. Urgent cases seen the same day wherever possible.
A clinical assessment with photos, shade planning and discussion of what you want to change. Digital mock-up or smile preview where helpful.
Composite suits some patients who want one visit and reversibility. Porcelain suits patients who want a more stain-resistant, longer-lasting ceramic option.
Composite often needs little or no preparation. Porcelain usually needs a small amount of enamel adjustment plus digital scans or impressions for the lab.
Your veneers are fitted, bite checked and polished. We review the result and make any fine adjustments needed for comfort and aesthetics.

Porcelain veneers are lab-made ceramic shells — stronger, more stain-resistant and longer-lasting, but involve minor tooth preparation and cost more. Composite veneers are sculpted directly from tooth-coloured resin — more conservative, cheaper and easier to maintain, but need refinishing more often.
Porcelain veneers at our London clinic start at £1,095 per tooth. Composite veneers start at £595 per tooth. Most patients have 4, 6, 8 or 10 — your written plan will confirm the total.
Porcelain veneers involve a small amount of enamel reduction (around 0.3–0.7mm). Composite veneers usually require no drilling. With good aftercare the tooth underneath remains healthy — we plan every case to protect the natural tooth.
Porcelain: typically 10–15 years with good hygiene. Composite: typically 5–7 years, with easier repair when needed.
