Acrylic dentures typically last 5–8 years, cobalt-chrome 10+ years. Lifespan depends on bone changes, wear, and how well they're cared for. Relines and adjustments may be needed along the way.

Initially they feel bulky for 2–4 weeks while you adapt. Once settled, well-fitted dentures should be comfortable for all-day wear. Sore spots are normal at first and easy to adjust.
