Pro Aligners — Questions Answered
Everything you need to know about adult braces in London.
It depends on the plan: Easy Align up to 4 months, Smart Align up to 17 months, Ultimate Align up to 20+ months. Most cases sit between 6 and 12 months. Your dentist will give you a realistic, case-specific timeline at your consultation.
You may notice mild pressure or tightness for 1–2 days after switching to a new aligner — this is the planned tooth movement happening. Most patients describe it as easily manageable, and it settles within a couple of days.
Yes. Pro Aligners are removable, so you can eat and drink anything you like — just take them out for meals and anything other than water. Brush before reinserting them so plaque isn't trapped against the teeth.
Brush twice a day as normal and floss once a day. Rinse the aligners every time you remove them and clean them with cool water and a soft toothbrush — never hot water, which can warp the plastic.
Smart Align and Ultimate Align include retainers at the end of treatment to protect your result. We typically recommend a fixed bonded wire behind the front teeth and/or a removable night-time tray. Without retention, teeth gradually move back over time.
